EPA Carbon Pollution Standards and the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic

07/31/2014 - 12:30pm

In-person meeting hosted by the New York Community Trust - 909 3rd Avenue, at 54th Street
Co-Sponsored by Environmental Grantmakers Association and the Consultative Group on Biological Diversity

Please join us for a funder meeting to discuss the role of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states in advancing EPA’s proposed Carbon pollution standards. On June 2nd, the EPA released guidelines for limiting carbon dioxide for existing power plants under the Clean Air Act. This represents an unprecedented opportunity for the nation, region, and individual states to take meaningful action on climate. The Northeast is positioned as a champion region, because thanks to RGGI, the Northeast should easily comply. The Mid-Atlantic region includes two important “opportunity” states, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Come join this briefing and discussion around how best to leverage this leading region and opportunities for funders.
