Western Water Briefing: Strategies for Water Resilience

08/02/2016 - 9:00am

Confluence Philanthropy and Environmental Grantmakers Association have partnered to organize the first ever 'Western Water Briefing: Strategies for Water Resilience' to take place in the summer of 2016 in San Diego, California. Participants will come together to discuss impact-investing and aligned grantmaking strategies as tools to promote long-term water sustainability and immediate responses to mitigate the crisis. Together we will seek to identify investable high-impact responses. The briefing will take place over 1.5 days, focusing on impact investing strategies during the first day, and on aligned grant making strategies on the second day. Importantly, the briefing will culminate with a funder-only discussion focused on identifying the areas where philanthropy can be most catalytic, as well as to outline any next steps.
