Kelly Lam

Communications Manager

Kelly (pronouns: she/her) is the Communications Manager at EGA. In her role, Kelly connects the EGA member community and enhances collective learning and action to support people and planet. She started at EGA as a program consultant in 2021 before joining the team full-time in 2022 as a Communications Program Coordinator.

Prior to joining EGA, Kelly was a consultant for We Want Green Too! (WWG2), where she provided executive assistance to the President, wrote grants, and managed operations. Kelly has also served as a Community Outreach Coordinator through AmeriCorps at the NYC Department of Sanitation, where she co-led citywide zero waste outreach efforts in predominantly low-income communities of color. She brings with her digital communications and operations experience as the previous social media manager and Humxn Voices creator and editor for the environmentally focused and Black, Indigenous, and People of Color-led digital publication, Platform Magazine. Kelly is a graduate of Wesleyan University with a BA in Environmental Studies, and Earth and Environmental Science.

In her free time, Kelly enjoys dreaming, connecting with humans and non-humans, and occasionally, getting her hands in the dirt. She was born in Macau and raised on the occupied lands of the Canarsie and Lenape people, also known as Brooklyn, New York. She currently lives and works on the occupied lands of the Lenape people, referred to as Philadelphia, PA.
