The Environmental Grantmakers Association (EGA) is a membership association of environmental grantmakers. EGA is not a grantmaking organization nor does EGA match those seeking grants with any member organizations. To protect our members' privacy, we do not make public our member information.

We've provided a list of resources for grant seekers, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and other civil society groups looking for resourcing:

  • The Alliance for Nonprofit Management is a professional association of individuals and organizations strengthening and diversifying the field of capacity building to support nonprofits and movements in centering equity and inclusion to achieve social change.
  • Blue Sky Funders Forum is a national collaborative that helps members learn, connect, and grow philanthropy that supports the many benefits of environmental literacy and stronger connections to nature.
  • BoardSource provides nonprofit board leaders with tools, resources, and research data to increase board effectiveness and strengthen organizational impact.
  • Candid (formerly The Foundation Center) provides databases of information on the nearly 100,000 foundations, corporate donors, and grantmaking public charities in the U.S.
  • The Chronicle of Philanthropy is a national publication keeping those involved in the non-profit world informed of the latest developments in funding and other trends impacting the philanthropic world. In addition to news, it offers service features such as lists of grants, fundraising ideas and techniques, statistics, reports on tax and court rulings, summaries of books, and a calendar of events.
  • The Climate Advocacy Lab equips the US climate movement with the evidence-based insights, skills, and connections needed to build durable power and win equitable solutions. They have free and accessible trainings and an extensive resource library for climate practitioners.
  • The Council on Foundations is a national nonprofit association of approximately 2,000 grantmaking foundations and corporations. COF provides the leadership and tools needed by philanthropic organizations to expand, enhance and sustain their ability to advance the common good.
  • Grants.gov is a central storehouse for information on over 1,000 grant programs and provides access to approximately $500 billion in annual awards. 
  • GuideStar is a national database of nonprofit organizations.
  • The Haymarket People’s Fund grants money to grassroots groups of local people in hundreds of New England's neighborhoods and communities who are actively involved in working for change on a daily basis in their own communities and know where resources are needed most.
  • The National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy promotes philanthropy that serves the public good, is responsive to people and communities with the least wealth and opportunity, and is held accountable to the highest standards of integrity and openness.
  • The Philanthropy Journal is an online publication that supports the nonprofit sector. In addition to news, the Journal features job openings, events calendars and announcements about grants/gifts and people working in the sector.
  • Philanthropy Massachusetts (formerly Associated Grant Makers) bridges the nonprofit and grant making communities in and around Massachusetts by giving access to research and information to support your fund development program, providing professional development and networking opportunities for nonprofit staff members, and giving your nonprofit organization more visibility among and access to grantmakers.
  • TechSoup is a nonprofit international network of non-governmental organizations that provides technical support and technological tools to other nonprofits and civil society organizations.
  • Terra Viva Grants is a nonprofit initiative, launched in 2008. It profiles grant makers and programs focused on agriculture, energy, environment, and natural resources in the world’s developing countries. They currently share grant opportunities and profiles of over 800 grant programs.
  • The Grantsmanship Center helps grant seekers create programs that get funded, stay funded and are aligned with their mission. They've trained more than 145,000 nonprofit leaders, government agencies, educational institutions and Native American groups committed to making a difference in their communities.
  • Tides offers fiscal sponsorship for nonprofit groups.
  • YES! Magazine is published by the Positive Futures Network, an independent, nonprofit organization that supports people's active engagement in creating a more just, sustainable, and compassionate world.
  • The Young Nonprofit Professionals Network activates emerging leaders and helps them acquire the skills and awareness they need to be effective changemakers. YNPN engages and supports future nonprofit and community leaders through professional development, networking and social opportunities designed for young people involved in the nonprofit community.
