Registration is Open for the 2022 Winter Briefing!

Registration is open for the 2022 Winter Briefing: Reconciling State and Federal Strategies for People and Planet! We are thrilled to invite you to join us on March 1-2 alongside government officials, policy experts, environmental leaders, and funder colleagues, in thinking broadly about equitable action for the environment. This year’s program will be a collaborative, deep dive into essential intergovernmental and community work that advances a sustainable future.

Register by February 15th at a Special, Early-Bird Rate

Our sessions will cover topics including Justice40, land back, and climate and water resilience, among other topics, and will support you in building your narrative strategy. We will explore the broader framework of feedback between federal and state policy implementation, for a healthy democracy and planet.

Participants will examine innovative case studies across geographies and draw connections from local work to national and global action. Through networking opportunities, ad-hoc discussions, and interactive sessions, we are carving out space for you to connect with one another on shared strategies for impact.

Feel free to invite your colleagues to the Winter Briefing, we are offering a flat, team rate for EGA members whose organizations include four or more registrants (including program staff beyond environmental portfolios, grants administrators, board members, trustees, fellows, and official advisors.) To apply this team rate to your organization, select "Group Registration" during sign-up. Please contact Linda Smith at linda@greenmeetings.us if you have questions about participating in this special rate.

The 2022 Winter Briefing is an opportunity to build community and make space for practices that support our collective impact. Together, we continue in our commitment to the environment with an eye towards justice. To do this effectively, we support the philanthropic bolstering of Black, Indigenous, and people of color communities as partners in the long-term strategy for meaningful action.

We are excited to uplift funder collaborations with local leaders, as well as your works in progress. As we face several, compounding interrelated challenges, now is the time to reconnect and align across our strategies to lift up our practices for philanthropy.

If you are interested in sponsoring the Winter Briefing or components of the programming, contact Malavika Sahai, EGA Director, Justice & Equity, at msahai@ega.org.

We look forward to seeing and hearing from you in March!
