Corinne Sigismund
Controller
Corinne (pronouns: she/they) has been working with EGA since 2011, where they oversee all the daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, monitoring of internal controls, creation of financial statements with management team, financial reporting and analysis, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable, QuickBooks software updating and working as a liaison with the CPA and HR. They work on all preparation for the yearly nonprofit audit and continue to perform necessary duties with the auditor to get the audit to completion and submission.
Corinne graduated from Clemson University with BFA in Sculpture and Drawing and a minor in Biology. After being asked to do bookkeeping on their first job out of college, she found that it was a good balance to the more creative side of herself, in the way science had been. Over many years, she continued to work with non-profit and creative companies where she was able to form a meaningful connection to the businesses beyond numbers.
In their spare time, Corinne makes jewelry, takes care of their adopted kitties and plays drums. They live and work on the unceded land in upper 'Manhatta' (Central Harlem, NYC) of the Munsee Lenape and Wappinger indigenous tribes. Text your zip code to 917-312-5085 and find out whose indigenous peoples' land you currently are privileged to live on and start the conversation about the history of that land. Learn more about the indigenous people of Manhattan, NY and outlying areas through the National Museum of the American Indian and the Visitors Center & Lenape Gallery.
