Dear EGA community,
I hope this message finds you in health and strength, or recovery as we are challenged at every level of our humanity. As we near the end of the year, I invite you to reflect on our work as a member community in 2023.
Amongst many important moments, we celebrate the projects you are leading such as the inaugural Hazel M. Johnson Environmental Justice Award, through to our soulful return to America’s truth in Montgomery, AL for the Fall Retreat. EGA is thankful for your continued partnership and endurance in our collective efforts for a healthy democracy capable of serving people and planet.
Our survival is a group project happening now, across ecosystems, movements, and borders. Building a habit of mindfulness is required for structural change. And our practice of community is the sustaining force for our journey. In this spirit, we look forward to another year as your partner in just resource redistribution. We commit to continuing to experiment, evaluate, and build our networks of practice.
On behalf of the EGA team, I wish you a nourishing, spirited, and restful holiday!
